This algorithm is a combination of a few indicators, the DMI being the most prominant. When the indicators align and certain conditions are met -- we take a trade, long or short. The back-testing results in the image below show this algorithm had an incredible performance on this particular cryptocurrency, Ripple(XRP). The average trade earned $6.25, winning 62% of our 329 trades. The $1000 trading account returned $2,057.88, a 205% return!

The Average True Range plus the Volume Weighted Moving Average is meant to alert you that the price of an asset is moving after a period of consolidation, with really no "action" in the price. There is a high likelihood that the price moves a certain amount in a period of time. It changes. Sometimes, the stock might fluctuate $3 in a given period of time. Sometimes it might fluctuate $30. This algorithm judges how much the price might be expected to move, then it alerts when a period of volatile behavior is initiated.

I forecast various markets using a wide range of tools. Some of the tools are based off fibonacci. Others are focused on volumetric data. My mantra, when studying charts, is "look for footprints". I look for the footprints of banks, hedge-funds, and other whales. This Bitcoin example shows one such occasion where it couldn't have been any clearer. I successfully called the very bottom of a pretty long and violent bear market. I was able to do this by stepping my perception of the market back, a bit, and looking for the footprints of big money as they pivot towards a new position and capitulate retail traders in huge numbers. Bitcoin went from this exact moment in time, straight to $60,000. I'm not saying I called the top, but I did call the bottom.
